It is very easy to use and install. It's primary function is to be strapped to the forearm, but functions are not limited to this. The SB15 has been reviewed by the ATF and has been ruled to not changed the classification of the firearm."The ATF has reviewed this product and determined that attaching the SB15 to a firearm does not alter the classification of the firearm or subject to NFA Control"

However, making any modifications to the SB15 would make it subject to changes in classification. As long as the product is kept in it's original form it is not subject to SBA laws
